Sumner Restaurants Post 22nd Feb’Quake

Following the Feb 22nd earthquake in Christchurch,  several Sumner restaurants and cafes were damaged, some….. including the Ruptured Duck, which was subsequently demolished. However currently the following businesses are open:

The Salt, adjacent to the Sumner Hollywood Movie theatre on Marriner Street;

The Indian Blues  and Indian Sumner… Wakefield Avenue.

Both The Corner Shop Bistro and  Clink, Wakefield Av.  are now open..the latter from 5pm till late Tuesday to Saturday and from 12pm Sunday with a new Autumn Menu including a Pizza Menu. Great Craft beers on tap and lots of fab wines!

Coffee Culture, Underground, Dot Com – cafes, are all open although some have restricted operating hours.

KB’s bakery & cafe.

  1. Clink restaurant and bar in Sumner is now doing it’s fabulous thin crust Italian style Pizza Take Away. With the limited offerings available and the onset of colder nights we thought it time to offer our locals something not seen since Feb 22nd…take out pizza. P 326 5353

  2. Making tracks to the Italian film festival at the Hollywood? Then compliment the evening with Italian Fare at Clink with a glass of Soave or Chianti over a pizza or pasta or an espresso with Tiramisu or Affogato. Oct 19th – Nov 2nd. Casual diners welcome.
